actor + singer + dancer + organizer + improviser + writer + [insert-something-else]-er
Hey, y'all: my name is Josh Daniel.
I was born & raised in New Orleans––the first town I ever got paid to sing in (age 7ish, sang "Orange Colored Sky" in the French Quarter with a shoe-box, once made $156 in 5 minutes doing it).
I left NOLA to train in Cincinnati, and I'm a proud alum of CCM, where I made lifelong friends, learned lifelong lessons, and also gained a lifelong hatred of Skyline Chili.
In New York, I've been a tap-dancing Mormon, an incredulous improviser, a writer, a song coach with MTCA, a community organizer & co-founder of Indivisible Harlem, and right now, a citizen of Skid Row over at Little Shop of Horrors Off-Broadway.
I feel so lucky to be a performer, and I feel even luckier you're visiting my page. Welcome!
